how about arthur kaliyev (kings fwd 1st round pic), alex turcotte (fwd/c also 1st rounder) for uko pekka-lukinnen??
i dont know what buf has in the a for goaltenders but this trade would be great for both teams -kings get rid of two young players they have no idea what to do with and uko fills a black hole for the kings.
buf gets younger and gets a potential 30 goal scorer in arty and a physical gamer in turcotte.

No, thank you.

Sabres have PLENTY of skill wings, so Kaliyev would be rather redundant in our system. Turcotte is one ginormous injury red flag, though his type is needed in our system. And holy hell do the Sabres NOT need to get younger -- we're young enough as it is.

Either way, UPL seems to finally have gotten "it"......and while we have Levi waiting in the wings, no way we are giving up UPL unless a legit starting goalie is coming back.

How about no. The Sabres aren’t trading their starting goalie unless you’re giving us a better one. We have 7489643 promising young roster forwards and prospects already. Buffalo has 0 reason to be interested in reclaiming the Kings’ disappointments.

So you don't know how Buffalo is for goaltenders but you know this is great for both teams how?

We are terrible for goaltenders and now that one is actually performing at league average you want us to trade him away for magic beans without any plan for anyone else in net? For what? More forward prospects despite us bursting at the seams with forward prospects?

Yea, great deal for Buffalo.

The Kings don't even need goaltending.
This season they have a goalie who made it to the All Stars and Portillo, who is waiting in the A looks excellent moving forward after Talbbot.

This trade fills no need for anyone involved

not as good for Buff as might look at first blush
i like the talent of the LA F's
BUT
Kaliyev already exhausted Waiver Exemption
and Turcotte's expires before next season

which undermines their value,
fall 2024, Buff [or LA] would need to keep them both on roster,
or risk losing them to waiver claim,
and Buff already have talented guys at same status

The kings "nhl" goaltendinding stinks to high heaven- talbot has been washed up for years and rittich has not shown to even be able to stick as a number 2.
It would be just like the kings brain trust to rush portillo into the bigs before hes ready. Get real

the big issue is Buffalo at forward in their prospect pool are (Rosen, Savoie, Kulich, Ostlund, and pthers). trading for Turcotte and Kaliyev would just cause problems on the roster.

at goalie its UPL and Levi with a couple prop[sect goalies not yet on ELCs.

Buffalo is not trading UPL and the do not need middling forwards in return that they have spades of.

at this point to get UPL id expect Clarke to be coming back

rittich 1.96 gaa sv percentage .931
talbot 2.69 gaa sv percentage .911

both with better numbers than luuk HAHA, yet the kings are trading both young players with low value high upside for another unknown goalie. Get real

Kings rushing young players? When has the Kings ever rushed young players? It’s the opposite to a fault.

A team with no goalies trades its emerging one. Get a Brandt Clarke in there and we'll talk.

If the Kings are packaging those players, it sure won’t be for your goalie.

Games played?
This guy numbers!

Easy there, evil prison guard from The Green Mile. Easy there. The proposal is eternally stubbed toes sorta bad, though.
It is bad BUT the responses are greatly entertaining especially how serious these budding gm's and statistics phd's responses are

True. Im confident though that the kings brain trust can expand thier incompettnce into this new and promising area

What happened to you?
You used to do solid posts and now you are just lashing out to other guys countering your arguments.

As long as we have Doughty and Kopitar at the helm it doesn't matter who is in goal.
We are in no shape or form a cup contender and i am sick and tired of demolishing our future after those 2 for a fantasy playoff run.
Useful players with 2 years of contract like Gavrikpov will not resign as well, after those Blake trading stunts.

Let's just ride out their contracts and see what we have in our youngsters.
in the worst case we have to restart another rebuild since we waste valuable years of Byfield and Kempe

Yeah , this post was poorly thought out and more of an operation of my anger at never using the young guys and riding kopitar and doughty into the ground. Kopitar was sucking wind on the bench last game and looked ready to go into arrest.
i just figure why let these guys rot? Im a big fan of kaliyev - the kings have no idea what they have in this guy. If these idiots wanted a defensive checking fwd, why did they draft a scorer???
