This one is pretty shocking. I don't think he was mentioned at all when people talked about coaches on the hot seat.

A coaching firing that makes no sense whatsoever usually means power struggle, somewhere.

Bucs got nervous with teams asking permission to speak to Koetter. He'll likely be the next coach to continue working with Winston.

Qualifies, if that's the case. Not seeing the need to do this, though.

Interesting. I thought they might be making a run at Chip Kelly again.

If they are making freaking Dirk Koetter their head coach they deserve the 2-14 season they're about to have.

My Buc friends are overjoyed with this, a defensive coach that runs a defense that can't stop anyone is going to have issues. Their offense improved but their defense is just as bad as it was last year. They're getting in a Browns-like pattern though of firing coaches every two or three seasons.

Dumb. Yes they closed out the year 0-4 after having an outside chance at the playoffs, but there was still mass improvement over the previous season and we were definitely trending upwards. I thought maybe they'd change thing up at DC.

I can't see a better option out there than Lovie. Joel and Bryan Glazer are donkeys.

I don't feel like their defense has a whole lot of talent though. Some players here and there but a lot of spare parts on the field.

If they really plan to fire Lovie for Koetter, then that's easily one of the worst moves in the past ten years by any team.

Yup. Invested all the high draft capital on offense. Fans need to realize that coaches don't magically make a player more talented.

Maybe the defense was bad because the players were bad.
