You mean Trotz should just let him float around like he did in the KHL? :sarcasm: That stubborn stupid bum Trotz, not like he has 600 wins in the NHL or Capitals are playing their best hockey in years or anything.

Yup, since he has won everything in the KHL and they don't teach you to play defense in Russia anyway. Oh wait..

In fact, it's more about being a pansy, thinking everything is beneath you and being over-hyped to no end doesn't help either. Frankly, good for Kuznetsov for dropping his primadona act and working hard this year to become a legit NHL player.

But as I can see Kuznya-hype is still very real in the minds of some.

He has been good in Washington, I blame Trotz, and not for making him play defense. He has never got a chance to play with OV and Backstrom, instead he plays with the 3rd or 4th unit. He will never thrive playing with anyone on that team other than Ovi, Backstrom or Burakovsky. Johanson and Burakosky have gotten extended looks on the top line, even cave man Wilson got a stint on the top line. How much would it hurt to put Kuz up there for 3 games or so? What do you have to lose, it couldn't possibly be worse than the other options. IMO its a complete no brainer, yet things so simple are often overthought and never come to fruition in NHL coaching mechanics. When his PP unit overlapped with Ovi he has had great chemistry with him in the minimal time they have been on the ice together.
