Fluto says:
Svedberg is due for a start Wednesday in Toronto. That would free Rask to address his issues in Montreal the following night.

rask should play tonite.

he just doesnt play well against mtl

If the Habs make the playoffs and we play them again, Rask will be in net. So let's have him get over his ineptitude against the Habs asap. Meaningless regular season games are for this.

At one point, he will start playing like a #1 against them. Took Thomas some time too but he eventually did own them after that.

When Fluto makes lineup projections, the odds are good to bet on the opposite.

Rask should play tonight and Svedberg vs scabs. teams on 2nd night of back to backs this year only have a 39% win % in 51 games. But it's actually worse than that because of the 20 wins 9 of them are SOW's, so actually getting a ROW in that game is only 21.5%, plus the habs have like 3 of those SOWs so even if B's can manage to survive until that point they pretty much lose in SOW, so whats the point in making Rasks bad record vs them that much worse in a no win situation.

B's could go 0-4 vs them this year, and i'm ok with that because there won't be any back to backs in a potential playoff series, so habs go into that series overconfident.

This is a no-brainer, Rask usually plays great against TO and struggles against Montreal, so play him tonight and Svedberg tomorow. Maybe Svedberg can do for us vs Montreal what Budai did for the Habs against us. Also, tonight is our best chance to win out of the 2 games, so let's go with our best.

The Bruins went 2-4 against them in 2011. Their only 2 wins? That 8-6 brawl (the Thomas-Price fight) and 7-0 near the end of the year.

But then again, they went 1-3 against them last year. So who knows.

That's a good way to see it too. Put Rask tonight and get the 2pts. Put Svedberg tommorow and hope for the best in the last game of the season in the Bell Center.

I think it's time Rask be held accountable just like all the other players. Sure he won the Vezina last year, a benefit of the team system, but when has he ever come big and won us a series? He played terrible in 2010 up 3 games to the Flyers none, and suffering one of the worst collapses in Bruins history, and you can't blame it on Krejci getting hurt, he still has to stop the puck. Tim Thomas won the cup in 2011 with Rask watching. In 2013 we were up 2 games to none against Chicago in the cup finals and he was far from stellar the rest of the series losing that one too. Last spring he again didn't come up big against Montreal when we needed him to win us that series. If he can't beat the Habs maybe it should be contemplated trading him as we will have to beat them every year to advance in the playoffs. I think Rask is a good goalie but he has to take the next step and win the big games to be considered a great goalie.
