I still can't be convinced that he's anything more than a 7th D man. Seids, Krug, Chara, Miller, Hamilton when wall healthy are clearly the top 5. I just can't take playing Bart over Morrow or even McQuiad

Miller has been brutal, love his hits, but his decisions and play have ben bad.

Aren't you trying to trade two players that made it through waivers this off-season? I don't see how they have any value except as a throw in.

It is possible that Warsofsky showed someone enough in his brief trial to be worth a 7th round pick now. If not there is a decent chance he is claimed the next time they waive him, and I am fine with that. He has no future in this org, but maybe some other org will want a small PMD type with limited offensive skills

Bart has not been waived this year to my knowledge. I would think he would have been claimed in an instant. Bart has value around the league as he is close to being a solid NHL defenseman, as he has proven he can be solid or even very good for stretches.

Bart isn;t going to bring an all star RW to town, but honestly if you are talking a Stafford or a Steward type, then yeah I do think Bart's value is pretty close to even to one of those guys

Not a lot of love for Bartkowski considering how well he's played recently. Given that Krug is going to be much more expensive next year, and he's worth more in a trade, I think i'd move Krug before Bartkowski.

Well if Bart turns it on and plays like he has the last week for the rest of the season then Bark is going to be a Lot more expensive next year as well. It's quite likely Bart's next deal is over 3 mil a season.

Bart doesn't really play the same game as Krug anyway. Krug is a point producer. Bart really isn't

Sign him now for $1.3 million per for three years, and we don't take the chance that he gets expensive. Krug's gonna be expensive regardless.

Responsible management of assets.

not shocking, there`s many who are awfully quick to point out any small detail he missed while ignoring the good games. Some here jumped on and stated he`s played well but the loudest critics nowhere to be found

Now.....let`s hope he can continue this play moving forward

bart wouldn't sign that contract. that's a major pay cut. Now if you offer him 2.3 million for 3 years then there is a chance he takes that and gives up the chance to get 1 mil per season more in the offseason

Considering he just came off an extended benching, I doubt it would take $2.3 million per year. Miller signed for what, $800,000 per year over 3 years?

I REALLY like Krug. ... he is a top 4 guy.

I'm Sorry, but Krug is no more than a 6, PP specialist, and likely will never climb higher. He is very talented and good at what he does, but his size is always going to keep him off the PK unless there are injuries, and he is never going to be strong enough on the wall or in front to neutralize bigger forwards.

Good Kid, love his work ethic, and skill set, but he is a bottom paring guy.
Becasue of his offensive production, and his skill set he is going to be looking for top 4 money and price himself out of town.

Agree with everything here. Boston is going to have to decide whether they want to keep Krug or Smith this offseason for cap reasons. Krug is the better talent, but given our forward depth versus our defensive depth and the return that either player would bring, I think he is moved.

Right now (as in this second of the season) :

Bart
Krug
Morrow
Trotman
Warsof

Future:

Morrow
Bart
Krug
Trotman
Warsofsky

I honestly think Krug is a little too slow for his size though, so his future is a bit of a question for me. He strikes me more as a bottom pairing or second pairing guy at best. I think with Morrow's skating and Bart's skating, they are a bit more useful as top 4 pairing guys than Krug.

Trotman and Warsofsky have potential, but haven't seen enough out of them yet to put them above any of the regulars or above Morrow.

If I were to move one person it would probably be Krug, BUT only if the Bruins believe that Morrow/Warsofsky/Trotman can fill in as the PP QB for Krug

We are in almost precise agreement. Can't believe how well Bartkowski is playing!

Krug has not been close to what he has been before his injury. Right now Bartkowski is the best young D and it isn't really very close. Hopefully Krug gets it going again soon.

Bartkowski
Morrow
Krug
Toss up for the others.

Sign Bartkowski, now, before we can't afford him. I agree re. Krug.
