Last two games have ended with me swearing at the TV set, clicking it off, and storming away from the scene of the crime.
The fact that their energy is better the past few games, and that the Lucic beast is finally back in the house, only makes it more frustrating. You watch those early periods and say to yourself, YES YES YES these are the B's I know and love.....they're making clean breakouts, they're forechecking, they're getting guys in front of the net more often, they're patrolling the slot and finding seams during the PP..........but they're still finding ways to lose late in the game. They tantalize, and then they leave you hanging.
They've basically become a giant ****tease of a team.
BTW I've come to the conclusion that the conventional wisdom that says that the B's "need to keep it simple" is a fallacy, but I don't have the energy to elaborate further on this.
Anyhow, bring on the Leafs, I guess.
