I think the whole fiasco is a Feaster mistake not an Iginla one. Feaster screwed up-Iginla was choosing the team that was the best in the East at the deadline.

Oh come on. That's bull ****.

1 year $6m seems steep. I thought it would be something like 2 for 9 or 2 for 10

Smart move overpaying to get the 1 year.

If he's good he has to take less next year anyways. If we can fit in the 6 with everyone else who cares?

Glad we got him.

Still pissed at chia for the Seg trade though. Iggy would have been a good mentor for him.

At the end of the day you have to take your emotions out of the game/business. Iginla and Chia realize this. They are pros. You do what you have to do to make your team better. Iginla fits. If it doesn't work out he will be good trade bait. Good job! The irony is funny though, perhaps in the end this is really where Iginla belongs. Maybe this time it will be a win for both Iginla and Boston!

6 is a bit steep at this point of his career but I would rather take the extra big cap hit for a year rather than taking him on multiple years.
