Even though one of the most-liked teams in the US has been eliminated, I think they made some terrific efforts.
Coach Cassidy said it was mainly the refs that caused the defeat.

At the end of the day I think them not scoring as many as the islanders at key points really hurt them. I think if they’d scored more they’d have done better.

The Bruins came close to defeating the Islanders. Getting to 4 wins before the Islanders and scoring more goals than the Islanders would have won them the series.

They came close to both of these objectives. But alas, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
