Assistant coach's usually do the heavy lifting for recruiting, tournaments, showcases etc but they do have a lighter game schedule

Thanks Jay, hope he enjoys the new role, but this is good for the Bruins who desperately need change in their coaching group. How good of course depends on who they appoint. Not overly confident they'll get it right.

Only other person qualified besides Leach is Chris Kelly (assistant with Ottawa) but I think he enjoys his player development role and probably doesn't want to coach.

I'm down for Savard. Would be awesome. I know nothing about his coaching style, but knowing how he played, hopefully he could get the offense goin.
