Not sure if this deserves its own thread but considering there are a number of prospects for Bruins fans to track during the upcoming season, I was just wondering where these prospects will fit in on their respective teams and what kind of expectations do you have for them? For instance, Zach Senyshyn had 26 goals and 45 points as more of a depth forward on the Sault Sainte Marie Greyhounds this past season. Will he be a top line winger for them this year and how many goals would you expect him to score?

I`d like to see Senyshyn post somewhere between 65 and 75 pts with my reasoning being, he`ll move up in the lineup getting more TOI but if the Hounds depth is depleted (I haven`t a clue how much of their lineup would have graduated to the pro`s) it`ll mean he`ll likely start facing opponents top D-men with less support around him

Zboril is the guy I have seen the most of and in year 1, kid was a monster, all over the ice, creating and stopping rushes/plays, I`m pumped to watch him this year, not so pumped he`ll be eating Moosehead players while doing it;)

Senyshyn to light this coming season up.

Zboril to get better and fill out

Spooner (im gonna class him as one anyway cos this should be his first full 82 game season) will have a breakout year and be top 3 on the Bs in points.

JFK to have a good year at BC (need to keep an eye on our mini Bergeron)

Hoping DeBrusk fills out even more, think that kids gonna grow.

Oh and Carlo to grow into Chara 2.0 :D

if connolly counts, which ostensibly he should, i'm going to say he has a 'breakout' year and i'll arbitrarily go with the number 27; i think he scores 27 goals.

Blidh makes the B's out of camp. Kid is tenacious.

Maybe somebody in the loop could start a who are our top prospects poll. Should be quite interesting with so many new high end talents.

I mostly followed recent trending from recent averages to make these predictions. I gave Colin Miller a generous set and he's also the player most likely to be replaced by a decent or better free agent before the season starts. this is approximately 27% better in goals for and 8% better in points for, compared as a whole against last season's team. I generally assumed most players play 60-65 games in the coming season and that the substitutes play fewer. this doesn't factor in the callups, but the AHL next up players don't look any worse than last season's. I predict that if they can keep this group healthy and keep Rinaldo from anchoring them, they will be a much better team than last season's Bruins were.

I think Eriksson, Hayes and Connolly are the only three forwards that should not be locked in the roles I hope to see as enumerated above, but I do think Eriksson is going to have to stay on the right. Kevan Miller and McQuaid would be the defensemen I would assume would trade spots as needed, but without Hamilton, I think the pairings are surefire in any combination, assuming Seiedenberg only moves to the right if Morrow is needed and paired with him.

this team looks really good. my regrets are losing Jones and gaining Rinaldo, but I'm really excited about this team and have liked most of the moves lately and over the last few years, minus those I just mentioned and the Boychuk fiasco. bring on, bring on.

Ryan Spooner 2nd year in the NHL will be very similar to Krejci's 2nd year in the NHL playing on the 3rd line and has a monster season playing with a young winger in Pasta (Krejci's wheeler) and a veteran winger Beleskey (Krejci's Ryder)

the Bruins 3rd line of Beleskey-Spooner-Pasta will have similar production to the 08-09 3rd line of Wheeler-Krejci-Ryder

Bold prediction for next year also Bruins finished 3rd in the Atlantic

for prospects:

Senyshyn lights it up playing in the top 6 now - 43g 38a
DeBrusk with another 40+ goal year - 46g 43a

the big club:

Marchand 27g 33a
Bergeron - 24g 40a
Pastrnak - 23g 30a
Beleskey - 22g 20a
Eriksson - 20g 30a
Krejci - 20g 45a
Spooner - 18g 35a
Hayes - 18g 25a
Connolly 18g 25a

probably adds up to way many goals but whatever, injuries will happen. Probably 1-2 60 point guys (Bergy + Krejci) like normal than a good amount of 40-50 point players. I don't see that 30 goal scorer this year unless Bergeron or Marchand go on a hot streak.

Or unless Eriksson plays with Krejci. :naughty:

I think that Connolly gets 20+ next season playing with either Krejci or Bergeron.
