Love this. Vic Beasley has become one of the worst D-lineman in the league. Now they can cycle him with Irvin. Apparently he took a paycut, after other offers, to play in Atlanta. Awesome.
Hilarious cause the Beasley hype train was going into overdrive 2 years ago.
Why wouldn’t it be? He lead the league in sacks in just his third (or was it his second) season.
Right but people were way too quick to say some of the things that were said about him. It was impressive but caused an unnecessary amount of hot takes and hype.
Tough not to get excited about Clemson’s all time sacks leader getting 15.5 sacks in just his second season, but whatever.

Have you watched Bruce Irvin play this year?
Totally. Only 3 sacks and only a shell of his former self. But, cost nothing to get him to his hometown team and play for his former coach whom he adores playing for. He turned down larger offers from the Patriots and Steelers to come to Atlanta. Sounds like he could be rejuvenated.
Dan Quinn was also his former DC in Seattle. So, he knows the system and how he will fit in it.Can't blame him for wanting to go home.
His issues are largely like Beasley's. He isn't disruptive anymore. Maybe he puts it together but he needs to be used sparingly.
