Rice was already on the decline. Despite being a piece of trash he likely would have had teams lining up if he didn't fall off a cliff production wise.

Kareem Hunt on the other hand, was coming off a 1300+ yard season in 2017 and then was well on pace for another 1000 yard season if he didn't get suspended while being age 23 to boot. Not really comparable.
