As many of you are aware, I'm very excited for the Brooklyn move.

I was talking about it with my wife and as she is only interested in things like "what song the team skates out to" and "whether there will be children dancers like at the Nets" I went with the former discussion.

Her vote:

My NYC-based vote:

Any suggestions from you guys?

There are a lot of songs I'd be happy with, but here are a few off the top of my head.

Overdone, but still is good.

A remix of this song, with just the hook would be cool.

But sadly, this will be the song they actually use.

A few suggestions that could suit a punk Brooklyn crowd:

The Gossip - Hott Date

Arcade Fire - Ready to Start (surprised nobody brought this one up)

Generation X - Ready Steady Go

The Replacements - I Will Dare

Long Island NY
And I'd play this every time Martin StLouis or Brad Marchand took a penalty...

Giroux: "Don't Stand So Close To Me" The Police
Ryan Malone: "Cocaine" Eric Clapton

EUROPE? Seriously?

The Final Countdown could possibly be the worst song of all time

I think she was making fun of hockey fans and the type of music she perceives that we listen to.

It was her idea of a joke.

My suggestion was completely serious.

The Brooklyn rock scene just doesn't fit hockey intro music too well. I mean, who wants to hear The National or The Hold Steady or TV On the Radio before a hockey game?

Maybe the Yeah Yeah Yeahs? Heads Will Roll? (Which would suit the Oberlin alum population of Brooklyn, which as Brooklynites know, is sizeable.)

I think they were from Queens, but the Ramones might be a nice fit.

Otherwise, any song that has the word "sh**" in it. For Garth.
