Why is Pilut not called up yet?
As long as we have bodies up here that can play (ie. Scandella as a game time decision, Beaulieu waiting as a healthy scratch)... they probably don't want to mess with Rochester. Both teams are doing well, really well in Rochester's case, I don't blame them for not wanting to mess with a good thing until one or the other actually needs the shake up.

It'll just be that much sweeter when guys like Pilut and Olofsson get their chance and stick up here full time.

I'm 100% in favor of leaving both rosters exactly as they are for now. Both teams are winning, and Buffalo has a dman in the press box waiting.

Injuries will happen, then you will all see the players you are clamoring for.

Everything is great.

Couldn't agree more.

Hat trick for Jack, Dahlin scores, Sheary chips one in and Risto gets on the board. 6-2 Sabres. Gritty scores twice for the bad guys.

Practice Report: Busy Week Begins

* Michal Neuvirth also skated and took shots on the ice on the rink opposite the Flyers side. Flyers GM Ron Hextall stated last week that Neuvirth was day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

* On the goaltending front, Calvin Pickard and Alex Lyon took all the shots during main practice. For Lyon, who was recalled for Saturday's game, despite not playing in much preseason action for the Flyers, he is leaning on his 11-game stint from last year to get him prepared in case he gets the call in an upcoming game.

LYON: "I think I've prepared the right way... It gets just a little easier every time you come up... I don't know if I'm necessarily more relaxed. I'm just ready to lay all my chips on the table to kind of see where I'm at, play as hard as I can and play as best as I can. I feel comfortable with myself and if I do that I can live with the results."

* Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol announced he will wait until Wednesday's morning skate in Buffalo is finished before naming the starter.

Feeling good about this one, so they'll probably lose. But I'd really love it if they just skated the Flyers into the ice.

Scandella's injury is probably short term so they won't want to put him on IR to free up the roster spot is my guess.

but they can do a paper transaction and sit Tage by sending him down for the game and Pilut fill in. Tage isn't physically going so its the same as him sitting for the game on the active roster.
