I wouldn't assume he can't play anymore just based on the Saints cutting him. It always seemed like he was an insurance policy if Ted Ginn couldn't come back off IR, plus the Saints are heavily invested in guys like Kirkwood, Smith and Carr and they want to get those guys reps.
