People will use the roster as an excuse but stretches like these are rare even for lottery pick level teams.

I'm not trying to defend the team, but our goalies were below .900 during this slump. Far below .900.
No team in NHL can't evade this kind of slump without key forwards scoring like mad.

True, but we do have a few top 6 players. You just can't stick them with 2 other 4th liners and expect results. So play them together. MaxPac, Chucky at least are top 6 offensive forwards. Plek, Fleischmann are okay for a 2nd line. Carr is hot so he can stay. That's at least 5 players. Yet they are all split amongst 3 grindy lines. MT is simply obsessed with defense and thinks every single players needs to be a defensive wizards first and foremost.

Bergevin is the architect, he's providing deck chairs and Therrien is shuffling them. They're both accountable at this point.

The good part about this horrible team and moronic, simple coach is how easy it is to make money off them. Took all Washington players in Draftkings except Carr and Palmieri (cause you need to take from 3 teams). Easy easy money.
