"August 15 Qualifying Offers Expire Automatically"
Has anyone seen an official explanation on this one?
Does that mean that anyone who hasn't signed their qualifying offer isn't guaranteed to get the money if they haven't signed it by then?...
For example, someone is qualified at 110% because they make $660,000 or less...they don't sign it by August 15th...then the club is not obligated to pay them 110%...they would negotiate for a salary, which could still be the 110%, but the club still holds his rights...and the player has to sign a contract before Dec 1 in order to play in the league that year...
