He had a long successful career. I liked his voice and style. His latter years were not as good as his other years. As people get older their capabilities decline; I know as mine certainly have.

That was mostly an age thing, I think. He didn't do it when he was younger.

Dude had some great Sens moments too. The aforementioned Turris goal, Karlsson to Brassard against Boston in 2017.

Still remember him calling the Sens/Habs series in the lockout year. "It's a war tonight, and Ottawa's taken over the game."

Yeah, he remembered every single leaf players names…. Yes he was their play by play guy for pretty much all of their games… but just remember being irked at his unprofessionalism when on national broadcasts, and still assuming the viewing audience were also leaf homers.
