I actually think it's somewhat common for the Stanley Cup champs to lose the home opener banner night. Maybe that's just a perception I have.

I'm taking about any banner. Was there for Chopper's banner, they sucked. Was there for Hulls...they sucked. The did win on Bobby's banner night (had to check my phone pics for that date).

I agree with you as I think the hangover will be pretty real this year though. Looking for a slow start, but you never know with this team, they improvise, adapt, and overcome.
