Blues Host Capitals in 2019-2020 Season Opener October 2nd
Based on this season, a slow start isn't the worst thing ever.I will be surprised if this team is ready to play at the beginning of the season. The banner raising will be sweet, but I’ll withhold my disappointment if they look mediocre for a while.
Poor Sunny. Starting game 2 on the injury reserve list.I'm convinced the league has designated the Blues as the 'Tom Wilson absorbers'.
It is rare when this team plays well when we raise some sort of banner.I will be surprised if this team is ready to play at the beginning of the season. The banner raising will be sweet, but I’ll withhold my disappointment if they look mediocre for a while.

I'm taking about any banner. Was there for Chopper's banner, they sucked. Was there for Hulls...they sucked. The did win on Bobby's banner night (had to check my phone pics for that date).I actually think it's somewhat common for the Stanley Cup champs to lose the home opener banner night. Maybe that's just a perception I have.
I'll see if there are stats.
Honestly I like it. I think it’s pretty cool having the two most recent cup winners play each other.
It isn't if, it is who. What's the betting line on Wilson injuring another Blues player?
Don’t forget part of why St Louis was able to get back into things was because the division leaders cratered. You can’t plan for that.Based on this season, a slow start isn't the worst thing ever.
