you're really gonna let it end like that?

That's how polls work. There were only four positions left; 17, 18, 19 & 20.

If it was a two-way tie, then I would skip 18 and go straight to 19. The #17 poll ended up a four-way tie, which accounts for the remaining four positions.

So, yes, this is how it ends!

That is weak. Should be a vote off for position when there is a tie, as we have done in the past.

Why are you being kind of a jerk when people ask about the mechanics of these polls?
Why complain about something you didn’t put any work into?

Chicago started ALL of the threads. If he wants to end it that way, he can.

At this point, I think we should all list our own top 20.

I'm just grumpy because I've been voting for McGing for a month now and the rankings are arbitrarily stopping before he even gets a ranking.

That we have guys who look like they could be NHLers after top 20 is a testament to the depth of our system. Maybe only a handuld of top of lineup guys, but if we can get quality depth players from late round picks I'll take it.

He wasn't going to. Then again, he may have spurted up the ranks along the way in training camp.

That is a fair consideration, but there wasn't enough time anyway for McGing to win a poll.

I like him also, but he is 24. I am not sure he makes our team, but may have better luck on another roster. Late blumer.

P-D:

Buchinger (third round) and Gaudet (fifth round) were both part of the Blues’ 2022 draft class. “I thought they were both really good,” Berube said. “I thought they both showed real good composure for kids coming out of juniors, competed hard, played with some jam. They were both good.”

Colton Ellis has 60 minutes of shutout hockey this pre-season. He and Zherenko are the only ones who have yet to give up a goal, and Ellis has more minutes and SA than anyone but Griess. It's a small sample size, I know, but so was Traverse City. A lot of people are looking for every excuse to write him off, but he's been pretty good with a competent D in front of him.

You love to see it! Hard to argue with results.

Zherenko...looked like a guy who spent 8 weeks in a hotel room in Georgia not playing hockey haha. He honestly looked like we was running on a ton of adrenaline. Looked big in net and excited to be playing, but definitely a little rusty IMO.
