But this year wasn’t a great crop so maybe the stop gap was the way to go? It’s working for now, you haven’t burdened yourself with a bad contract moving forward. I think in the list of really bad things he’s done, this one is a ways down there. Remember 2 parties are involved in the contract process. If you don’t have a player you want willing to commit at a reasonable price you don’t have a deal.
