Honestly I haven't really paid much attention to what Columbus is doing. But here's hoping the team can have a strong home game and that they've rested up enough from that long road trip.

It's not a bad contract for a player of Nylander's caliber, even if it's a slight overpay it eon't be in 2 years.

Case in point Morgan Rielly's contract was he worth it when he signed it? no probably not, is he worth it now? he's worth every dime and more.

Same with Kadri was he worth his deal when he signed it? No absolutely not, is he worth his deal now? he's worth every dime and more.

Nylander is the same, is he worth 8 million now? it's a slight overpay now will he be worth 8 million in 2 years? absolutely he's that good he will be worth more especially in relation to the growing cap

Dubas is trying to get him signed, however he isnt going to sign him to any contract, which is the right thing to do.
Dubas is doing his job. He wants to sign Nylander to a fair contract, so even though he isnt signed, its not because Dubas isnt doing his job.

8 million is over pay. If it was 7 million, then that would be more manageable.
