Blackhawks to expand team store on Michigan Ave

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today plans to more than double the team’s 333 North Michigan Avenue retail space, the Blackhawks Store, transforming it into a two-floor flagship store at one of the most highly-trafficked locations in the city at the intersection of Wacker Drive and Michigan Avenue. The project, conceived by Chipman Design Architecture, will be officially unveiled in fall 2014.

The more merch, the better. Have always been struck at how small the store is whenever I visit, a point which was rammed home this past weekend when I bought a new fully embroidered sweater and they didn't have a white Kane in my now average size in stock, so they had to order it.

I think a premiere jersey (already customized) runs about 170. the authentic ones are 250-300 uncustomized and a blank premiere is like 110

It looks really nice. But, I was hoping with the expansion that they would have more merch. From those pictures it seems like they dont have any different stuff, just more jerseys around. Hopefully thats different when it opens.

I just got back from there. Stadium series stuff (jerseys included) all 50% off
Everything else is 75% off. No regular red and whites though unfortunately.

Jersey was 120 with tax.

Picked up a hoodie and 3 shirts too. The hoodie is originally 90, but I got that and the 3 shirts for $48.
