That's where I'm so befuddled though. I assumed he was some twenty year old undrafted free agent. I follow the AHL.

Probably a good pro/ glue guy. Take the ahl guys out to a couple dinners. And I’d rather have him as the healthy scratch guy than a young guy who needs the playing time. Kinda hated the taxi squad bc we had so many young guys on it not playing but I digress.

AHL player. Pretty clear to me. He can jump up to the NHL as a warm body too if needed.

Hard working veteran, has size, skates well, plays hard every shift. I like the signing. You are not going with a roster of 20 - 20 year olds in Rockford.
He has stayed in the AHL/NHL for a decade by out working others. He seems the perfect type of player (per new mgmt plan) to introduce the kids to the pro game.

He is probably pretty decent. BWC doesn’t like the signing so it’s likely to works out. When has he ever been right?
