I looked this up out of curiosity, and heading into round 1, the Hawks have a total of 17 players on the roster who have played in the playoffs, totaling 1,208* games. I thought this number was pretty unbelievable.

Can any other team top this? Or does anybody know a site that makes this easily sortable?

Hossa: 201*
Toews: 124
Hjalmarsson: 124
Kane: 123
Keith: 122
Seabrook: 119
Rozsival: 106*
Campbell: 103*
Oduya: 102*
Crawford: 83*
Kruger: 83
Desjardins: 53*
Anisimov: 39
Van Riesmdyk: 11
Panik: 8*
Panarin: 7
Darling: 3

Total: 1,411*

*I didn't even realize I was looking at a list of playoff games ONLY with the Blackhawks. Asterisk indicates where edits were made. Original number of 1,075 just with the Hawks jumps up to 1,411 total games of NHL playoff experience.

Thanks guys:

A ton of experience.

FYI you have 48 for Crawford, but he's played 83 and won 48.

Hossa has way more PO games than that, he's been to the finals 5 times so that alone should give him 100+

TEAM ROSTERED PLAYOFF GAMES
Chicago 1,463
Pittsburgh 1,206
San Jose 1,169
Washington 1,043
New York Rangers 951
Anaheim 800
Boston 776
Montreal 737
Minnesota 702
Nashville 618

The Wings team before Lidstrom and Holmstrom retired probably could've considering those two brought like 450 alone. But currently yeah nobody even comes close to touching that.

ESPN used this as one of their metrics in an article that looked at total playoff experience, ES SV%, and SAT 5v5 close. Their numbers are different than yours though, and I'm too lazy to figure out how:

I think the OP used playoff games played for the Hawks rather than overall. He has Anisimov at only 7 games but he's made the playoffs with the Rangers and Jackets as well.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess these are games with the Blackhawks only right? Because between OTT, PIT, and DET I'm pretty sure Hossa has hit 200 playoff games. Never mind games played by Oduya in DAL (and possibly NJ), Rozsival (NYR, ARZ), Panik (TB), ANisimov (NYR, CBJ?), Desjardins (SJS), and Campbell (BUF, FLA)

What's way cool about the Hawks is:

Schmaltz - 0
Hartman - 0
Kero - 0
Hayden - 0
Hinostrozza - 0 (48 games YTD)
Rasmussen - 0 (68 games YTD)

Im quite glad they're integrating youth in complememtary and depth roles. I think lack pf experience means a lot less for wingers and bottom 6 centers when they're playing alongside experienced playoff warriors.

Remember 2013 when Saad had 0 games played? Ah, memories.
