Carl Dahlstrom has already suffered a concussion.
Stan made it sound like that was almost a good thing, for the Hawks at least. He said it kept him under the radar.

The issue is the concept of "consensus BPA" of selecting defenseman Carl Dahlstrom, who already has a medical red flag with a concussion, when defenseman Madison Bowey was still on the board. This has what to do with hockey, again?
Concussions should be seriously taken into consideration when drafting future NHL players. So you think keeping Toews is a bad thing?
Future medical evaluations need to be scrutinized with greater caution. So you think keeping Toews is a bad thing?

Something important to note this year, and going forward: Teams will have 4 years to sign European (excluding Russian - no transfer agreement) prospects. Some guys that may have gone unpicked before, because team's were worried they would take longer to develop, are now getting picked. I think that applies to Dahlstrom and Norell. Guys who the Hawks like their long-term potential, but may not have been picked as high (or at all) in previous years do to the lack of time to evaluate their development.
Good point Hoss, it really does make a difference. 3 years is barely enough to know what you have on your hands, especially Dmen.
