They could have been doing this the last 3 weeks but have been carrying the roster minimum...seemingly to give Cleveland the best players possible for their playoff push.

Agreed. I think they need to do this wisely so as not to hurt Cleveland. However, in this case, there is a need for the call-ups, so it is sort of a moot point.

Not for the forwards (Boll & Bourque healthy scratches), but I agree. Now is a good time to get the kids some NHL games, and then they'll be back in Lake Erie in a couple weeks for the AHL playoffs.
