Thanks for the heads up.

Just heard the play by play dude Stéphane Leroux say that Taormina leads all AHL defensemen with 23 points in 24 games.

Econofitness is one of the advertisers on the boards. I guess the ads are affordable -- I mean, they charge $10 per month for their memberships.

Taormina is the biggest difference maker between last year and this year in my mind, no question. His work on the PP alone elevates the whole team, last year they couldn't score 5 on 4 at all the moment Barberio left.

He really seems to be one of those players who will dominate the AHL but isn't quite good enough for the NHL. Wouldn't hate seeing him get a call-up if we had a ton of injuries, but hopefully that doesn't happen.

I don't think he's got the mobility to do his thing in the NHL sadly, although he could probably be a plus on the PP. He played a lot for us during the pre-season and you could see he was a bit overwhelmed.

Funny seeing Craknell wearing Holland's old number. I wonder if they just swapped some of the letters out and re-arranged them

Thank goodness, no special documentary about the Carrière siblings during the first intermission. :handclap:

I keep hearing them call the team "Rocket de St Hubert", when in fact it's the restaurant St Hubert sponsoring the broadcast. I am not a smart man.

I'm all for St-Hubert sponsoring but hate that chicken logo on the sweaters. The logo is like one of those yellowed stains you could generate at St-Hubert's while fumbling your standard chicken fare.

The coach for Binghampton looks like Alfred E. Neuman. He wasn't smiling, so don,t know if he has the trademark missing tooth.

I'll give Gregoire the W for that one. Not much of a fight.

Though I disagree with him for spearing a guy in the nads.

Grégoire with an a-hole move, that was only immediately obvious on slo-mo. A vicious upward spear between the legs, while the opposing player had his back to him. A cowardly play.

Can't wait to see Poehling and Ikonen with the Rocket one day.

No one else picked up on the Alfred E. Neuman looks of the Binghampton coach? I guess it's just me, lol.

First I had to look up who Alfred E. Neuman was. Then I had to look up the coach of Binghampton.

Edit: Speaking of look alikes, the Rockets logo looks like the Team Rocket logo from Pokemon. It wouldn't surprise me if it was used as inspiration for the logo

Cracknell is really driving the play, he's constantly in motion, always ploughing through someone, he's very dynamic. I thought he would have been slower than this. He reminds me of those high intensity checking forwards you used to see more of in previous decades. He's all in all the time.

Yeah, it's the guy from Mad Magazine, lol. I just went with the tv close-ups they've been showing.

Let's see that Rocket logo comp:

Yeah, they both prominently feature a prophylactic.

Not a lot of scoring chances, mostly a game of defence. Not the most exciting thing to watch. And it's likely going to OT.
