Simple, in your opinion what have been the biggest flop signing of the past 5 years of transfers?
Chelsea made the deal worse by themselves by signing him to a 7 years contract.Just make a poll Coutinho vs Kepa. Coutinho because Barca wasn't forced into that deal like Chelsea were after Courtois forced a move to Real and no one was willing to sell a GK that late in the window. Both are the correct answer though lol.
And Barca have at least found a way to loan Coutinho out.Chelsea made the deal worse by themselves by signing him to a 7 years contract.
Definitely not Otamendi. He was serviceable for them and even won a title as a starter. Barca alone have like 3 worse lol.John Stone, Nick Otamendi
Maybe not biggest but definitely up there.Definitely not Otamendi. He was serviceable for them and even won a title as a starter. Barca alone have like 3 worse lol.
I mean I’ll probably have Maguire in there in the next few seasons. How though it was relatively cheap considering the market now. As I said he won a title as a starter. Hell in his prime he was better than McGuire plus cheaper.
Kepa was serviceable in year 1 though.Kepa easily. He is the worst keeper in the PL and cost nearly 80mil.
At least the others have had serviceable stretches.
He was 15th in save percentage last season. He is a terrible shot stopper (weak wrists), lacks the height to command in crosses and despite having good feet, his distribution doesn't come close to offsetting those deficiencies. He was only serviceable in your eyes because Chelsea were the best possession team last season and rarely allowed shots.Kepa was serviceable in year 1 though.
The difference between 15th and 10th or even 8th was very small in terms of sv%. He was typical Kepa last season, what he was in Spain. He was a mediocre/serviceable keeper in Spain that some people thought had more potential. He was that in the 1st year, and this year he has regressed. People forget that Kepa was solid and get starts over De Gea for Spain because De Gea struggled. He was 15th in save percentage last season. He was 35 million to Chelsea right?2. Danny Drinkwater
Bakayoko, Morata, Kepa, Zappacosta, even Batshuayi was quite a bit too.Yikes that's rough.
I still think he is better than what Barcelona fans think of him.Coutinho
