Biden nominates NHLPA Walsh for USPS role; response: no political aspirations

Have to assume it’s a role that’ll allow him to stay as head of the NHLPA, as I doubt that he’d leave a cabinet position for the private sector only to return to a much lower-level executive position all in a year.
The mayor of my town, Chris Koos of Normal, Illinois, was tapped by Biden to serve on the Amtrak board, and he’s still mayor. These are usually board of director gigs that allow for a nice sinecure for an ally while shaping public policy and retaining outside employment.
