Wouldn't vote him until I see him play a full season. It would be absurd for him going over some dman that had a down year but had a much greater sample size. Makar is exciting to watch him play and I have no doubt he will be a top 3 nominees for the Calder or even favorite next year. Also might even get some for the Norris in years to come but we need to temper expectation and wait how he does in a full season. Also hope he plays in the top pair during the season 2019-2020.

The playoffs are an opportunity for players in smaller markets like Car to get more exposure. Its just more people realizing how good these players are, not making them seem better, which is an advantage Canadian markets have year round.
