I've had a pair of the elastic ones for a few years and the elastic is pretty well shot. I know some people use the hard plastic type but I don't know much about them, and there are several brands and varieties on Amazon.

Help? What do you use and what do you recommend? I always store my skates without the guards, so I just need something to put on them in my hockey bag.

Thanks HF.

I just have ones with a nylon or kevlar bottom and soft sides with elastic.
The plastic ones hold too much moisture against the blade and don't offer much unless your trying to walk into the rink dressed out.

any kind of moisture wicking fabric works well, keeps the blades from rusting and still protects them. hard plastics are for blops
