Sakic. His whole career is better than half of Roy's - otherwise it'd be Roy.

Not sure who Forsberg or Roy i have #2 - might be Roy.

Intrigued how high Makar can reach. Obviously a very long way to go, but surpassing Sakic isn't out of the question imo.

I feel like this one is almost a little bit like the Canucks thing (with Henrik Sedin vs Bure). Where Sakic is the better Av and the more appropriate choice for this poll probably...but Forsberg was probably the best player to play for the Avs?

Went with Roy just due to his influence on the position.

The problem with Roy here, is that his impact is so evenly split between two franchises. Is he the best Avs player in franchise history? Is he the best Canadien in franchise history? If he'd played his whole career and pioneered goaltending that way in Colorado for the entirety of his career...he'd have a real argument. But for a lot of people, he's still always thought of as a Habitant.

I don't really think it's evenly split. I think if the MTL portion of his career happened in COL he would be a slam dunk. Bit of a weird spot because the most prolific part of his career happened on one of the teams with the most competition for GOAT franchise player.

Sakic has the most points for the franchise and I value that he played for no other team. Forsberg and Roy are good options as well.

Sakic

Anyone got the link to the Edmonton thread? How come Gretzky only has 88%?

Troll votes?

This is Forsberg by a mile, Sacic is good but prime task for the other teem was to shut forsberg down, any way possible.

Forsberg is actually one of the best forwards of all time but Sakic played 1378 games for the AVs, Forsberg only 591 GP. And it's not like Sakic was just a "good forward", he was also Elite and has 1641 pts, 9th highest of all time
