I give an edge right now to M/R/L but it's close.
avs have 9 points on the bruins but 1 extra game in hand
i feel like boston has been split up a bit more (could be wrong)
better through 10 games: colorado
who you would take for this season and playoffs: boston
Defensive element trumps the comparables offensively.
AVS line: +40
Bruins line: +19
Right right noow? Colorado.
Last year it was the Bruins line along with the Vegas line I guess but I expect the Bruins line to be the definitive answer by the end of the year. That is the boring answer though, given their track record but I also expect some mystery line appearing as well.
This poll is funny because whoever had the biggest last game wins in a landslide basically, Av's had a great game and the Bruins line while playing great got stoned by the goalie they were playing.
Last week after Pastas 4 point game the votes were basically the opposite.
I do think these are the top 2 lines in the league but I just find that funny.
How are the Bruins losing this?
Avs. They have both the defensive and offensive results over the Bruins line.
Bruins probably take it over the entire season.
Because the Avs line is better. Getting results, destroying opposition, winning hockey games and leading the league in scoring.
Bruins line would win in a heads up battle against avs
So not only does +/- fully represent defense, but +/- in a 10 game sample size.
And the Sens have played both lines a combined three times.
The Avs line is crazy good
Bergeron because intangibles
Best line in hockey is whichever line doesn't give up goals to Avs, Bruins, or Leafs top lines imo.
Sens fan who has watched his team play Boston twice and Colorado once. Its hands down Colorado, no slight to the Bruins at all they are incredible but Mckinnon is just an unstoppable raw talent. I havent seen a line dominate a game in a long long long time like that line did to the sens in the third period last night. I wasnt even upset watching them blow two, two goal leads, no one was stopping those guys last night and it was an incredible display of skill and talent.
Because +/- equals defense k. Avs goaltending has been excellent, while the Bruins have been mep.
Going with the Bruins but it’s close.
No but offense factors into the equation too, and they're better offensively so far.
Palat-Point-Johnson did a good job shutting down Bruins line in games 2-6 of playoff series and of shutting down the Avs line when we played them (MacKinnon was still godly but that’s just him)
Wasn't Bergeron playing with a torn groin the last few months of the season?
There is not one line I am afraid of overcoming this Bergeron line.
Yeah I agree and I did vote them
