Wow. Edmonton dominated the active players points list, it's not even close. Toronto is a distant second with Kladno and London fighting for 3rd.

Still Kladno over Riga.
Can you post your lineup? As far as I know, you've got a couple of NHLers, a couple of guys from KHL and the rest of them are Extraliga scrubs and you might even have to include some guys from your 2nd division. :) Sounds smilar to Slovenia in strength.

If you want to see the Riga one, look up the Latvian Sochi roster.

Might actually be a good game. Toronto's depth is a step ahead, but we have the goaltending. I included the burbs. Montreal's second and third lines would be irritating as hell.

A Latvian calling Extraliga players scrubs, really?

Kladno would destroy Riga.

Toronto. A lot of great players from the GTHL and surrounding OMHA centres. Tavares, Nash, Stamkos, Subban, Spezza, Seguin, Neal, etc.

On a smaller scale.. Bonavista, Newfoundland.

Population: 3,764

Produced guys like the Ryder brothers, Adam Pardy, Matt Bragg and a few other good junior players that most wouldn't recognize. It's not much, but it's still pretty remarkable given their tiny population.
Also once had an unreal goalie in Freeman till he moved away per population they would take the cake.

Not a city, but the province of Ångermanland (pop. 130 000) has produced like half of Sweden's best players, including two Hart winners, two Pearson/Lindsay winners, a Norris/Conn Smythe winner, and pretty soon a Vezina winner in Ullmark. Apart that there's been like 50 other NHL-ers from Ångermanland.

8 year bump... If we can count guys born in the city AND who played in the city then London, Ontario.

Knights have a first rounder every year (usually not a Londoner) like Tavares, Tkachuk, Marner and they've also had a few good players born in the city like Lindros, doughty, kadri and Joe Thornton.

Great production in the late 1980s and the early 1990s definitely, not so much since overall at least. Made the TV-pucken provincial youth hockey final twice since 1994 which is not particularly impressive even among the sparsely populated Norrland provinces.

The town of Piteå in Sweden, which has roughly 20 000 citizens, has won 8 Stanley Cups ;)

A lot of USA members are from Minnesota. Specifically Minneapolis. It could work out I guess. Would be difficult to fill an entire roster though for some countries.
Metro Minneapolis, which would include St. Paul, and it's suburbs. They would have some good players, but Having said that, you'd take someplace like Montreal, anyday.

Dickie Moore- Mario- Rocket
Nels Stewart- Pocket Rocket- Bossy
Robataille- Lemaire - Rod Gilbert
Damphousse- Krushelnyski- Rousseau

Lapointe- Letang
Vadnais- Bouchard

A Minnesota team would be pretty solid, especially now that we have a goalie:

Jake Guentzel-Brock Nelson-Blake Wheeler
Casey Mittelstadt-Anders Lee-Brock Boeser
Tommy Novak-Travis Boyd-TJ Oshie
Zach Parise-Blake Lizotte-Kyle Okposo
Noah Cates

K’Andre Miller-Justin Faulk
Ryan McDonagh-Nick Leddy
Brady Skjei-Justin Holl
Ryan Lindgren

Jake Oettinger
Charlie Lindgren
Alex Stalock
