Kucherov is better than MacK and Hedman is better than Makar. Pretty easy choice.

If McDavid has a gap between the next best forward like he did this past season, then it's hard not to choose him and really pick any defensemen off the Oilers. McDavid and Kris Russell outscored Panarin/Fox and Mackinnon/Makar last season

Yeah, "better" isn't really clear. Better if you're drafting a fantasy team and just want to know who'll score the most combined points? Better to build a winning team around? Better if you want to create a NHL shirtless calendar?

At this point Hedman could lie down on the ice for 82 games and still get nominated for the Norris. It was all reputation votes for him this year, not a real indication of his season, which was terrible.
