Rescuing Morpheus in The Matrix x 100

When the camera sits beneath the hovering helicopter, with spent casings and links streaming from the minigun... Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.

the assassinations at the end of The Godfather
the entire end of The Hunt for Red October
the forest battle in Fellowship of the Ring
the tank escape in Goldeneye
the fleet battle in Return of the Jedi
taking the Japanese bunker in Thin Red Line
the tank scene in Indiana Jones
the lobby scene in the Matrix
the siege in Kingdom of Heaven
the bank robbery in Dark Knight
the train scene in Mission Impossible

yup, just a perfect scene from "we need guns" to the end

also, for as much as it disappointed, the Highway Chase scene in Matrix 2 is top notch

Lots of good suggestions in here that I would agree with.

A few that haven't been mentioned:

1. Hotel hand-to-hand fight scene in Inception with gravity shifting around.
2. Captain America clearing the ship at the beginning of Captain America: Winter Soldier.
3. John McClane and the firehose that at first saves him from the roof and then threatens to drag him out the window in Die Hard.
4. Club scene in John Wick.
5. Sword fight on the wheel in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
6. Any scene with Jet Li in it in Lethal Weapon IV.
7. Vault scene in Mission Impossible.

I came here to say this... From the beginning when Neo and Trinity go through the metal detectors and gun down every guard in their way to the moment you mention with Neo just straight opening up the mini-gun and Grabbing morpheus with the line.

Can't forget the iconic "Bullet-time" dodging after that.

T2 has a half dozen or so you could choose from, but that motorcycle chase scene was jaw dropping when I first saw it and it continues to hold up today.

I know James Cameron movies make a boatload of money, so I hesitate to refer to him as "underappreciated," but I don't think he really gets his due as one of the great directors of all-time. I think action is sometimes viewed as a more inconsequential form of film-making, but the ability to create tense, unpredictable actions scenes is rare and Cameron's been doing it for over 30 years.

I'd also be amiss if I didn't give a shout out to late 80s/early 90s John Woo. So many scenes to choose from in his stretch of films that period.
