As good as peak Zetterberg and Datsyuk were, I don't know if you can go against 118 point Sakic. He was a man on a mission that year. Forsberg was good as always.

Lidstrom was better than any of Colorado's defenseman in 2001, but the Avs had five forwards who scored at least 65 points in '01.

What would 118 points be in today's NHL?

Well, 2001 was a LOW scoring season... we aren't talking about 1981 or 1993

However, star players did get more ice time back then and PPs were more abundant. Still, 118 points was a very impressive number in the early to mid 2000s.
