We're not winning anything this year but the team is competitive and will get better next year. Key is as always the goaltending.

We were 55% or better in shots, scoring chances, high danger chances, expected goals, corsi and fenwick. This is true whether you look at just 5 on 5 play or all situations. We outshot them 229-166, outchanced them 190-152, and high danger chances were 80-60 in our favor.

Their goalie put up a .930 for the series while our goalies put up an .867 for the series. There is absolutely no metric besides goaltending that suggests Vancouver was the better team.

Because our offense was shit while their had quality and punished Binner. Blues also lost 3 straight games in the round robin before including a loss vs mediocre Dallas.
