To no one’s surprise, Boston College junior Johnny Gaudreau was named the winner of the 2014 Hobey Baker Award as announced on Friday at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia, PA.
Gaudreau is the third Boston College player to win the Hobey Baker Award, joining Mike Mottau (2000) and David Emma (1991).
The Carneys Point, NJ native was the most consistent point producer in the nation this season. Gaudreau leads the nation in a number of categories including points (80), goals (36), assists (44) and plus/minus (+41) in 40 games this season.
