Picked Rangers everywhere...

I did as well but if the OP was posting this on an argument of which team is better then it's really close on that question as I think the NYI are greater than the sum of their parts.

Sorokin + Varlamov>Shestyorkin + Halak

Shestyorkin is one of the best goalies, but the Isles got the best tandem in the whole league.

Yup, voted Rangers on everything except goalies. The difference between Varlamov and Halak makes up for the small difference between Sorokin and Shesty.

Rangers forwards, Islanders defense, Goaltending is a wash (although edge Islanders if you extend to backups)

And Dobson is better than Miller. Take off the homer glasses...
Dobson is not as good as Miller at the moment, although they're obviously both still developing.

Miller has become extremely underrated on here because Fox gets all the attention and he doesn't see powerplay time.

Dobson has the edge offensively but Miller is elite defensively. Out of all top 4 D last season, only McAvoy and Slavin had a better defensive GAR. His shot suppression and zone exits are near the top of the league.

And if you don't favor the analytics, point to where a guy who's 6'6" and the best skating defenseman on his team isn't passing the eye test.

Dobson more than doubled Millers point totals on a team that scored significantly less points, while playing next to a boat anchor all season in Chara.

Dobson is a great skater as well, and is 6'4.

Id take the guy with far greater offensive insticts, while still being good defensively.
