Canada is better in every position except goaltending. Where its not even a big difference, no current American goalie has won anything. Binnington elevates just fine. Hill just won the cup and is a top statistical goalie.

I think Canada's reign as the top dog is coming to an end, USA hockey is doing a tremendous job developing players and the population there is obviously significantly higher than Canada. Even in present day I think USA is the favorite.
