Why did he never get another shot at coaching?

He wasn't a bad coach and he got his team to Finals. At the time many people said he was a good up and coming young coach.

Ever since then hardly even an interview. I remember i think it was after the Hawks fired that Fin (Maybe he was a swede) they interviewed Melrose as one of the canidates.

I've always thought Melrose had an anti-european player bias. Back when NHL tonight was on espn, Bucci would occationally call him out.
