I am probably not going to make my first pick until day two or so but I have a list of my top 30 favorite prospects, curious to see where the all end up going. Does everyone think the #1 pick will be RNH?

I think Edmonton has enough high end forwards I would be tempted to pick Adam Larsson and start building the defence with a stud

"With the historic first selection in the 2011 NHL draft. The Edmonton Oilers are very proud to select."
Ryan-Nugent-Hopkins-21.jpg

"From the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League. Center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins."

"This was a difficult choice to make, with the amount of amazing young talent that was available with the first pick. However Ryan (Nugent-Hopkins) in the end was the player our scouts felt was the best player available but also the best fit for the organization. We feel with Ryan we have an amazing player, who has the potential to be a legitimate franchise center.

Great pick, I always feel to go for BPA when you having a tough time picking between players of different positions that high in the draft.

My guess here is Avs take Landeskog bc that seems to be what all Avs fans want. Seems like every team is going to tack advantage of that 12 hour window.

:bruins Select Defenseman Nathan Beaulieu. (Need two gms to confirm this)

Even though it might be too late since two guys have already confirmed it, I think this pick should be Dougie Hamilton. The talk of the draft is 'the top 8' and Hamilton is the one left and he is consistently ranked ahead of Beaulieu. In addition, even though you're the chief here, you also happen to have the next pick. If there has to be a nomination and confirmation process the pick before your own, maybe the 2nd in command, schronote, should do the nomination?

I was basing it off of team needs. (Kaberle trade not working out and Boston needing a PMD). However I also agree with what you are saying and how Hamilton is the better prospect. So if Schronote agrees that the Bruins would take Hamilton they will be given Hamilton.

My opinion is the Bruins will take a PMD here, and while both are good prospects I have Hamilton higher on my list.
