Surprised nobody made a thread about it. Thats as good as you can get in a 1-0 thriller that didn't end in a shootout (thank god)

Raanta for the rangers, Darling for the blackhawks, both goalies played absolutely lights out with both having spectacular saves.

Game ended up going to OT 0-0 with the rangers winning 1-0

After the game Raanta and Darling gave each other a pat for the outstanding game.

Definitely recommend a watch for neutral fans if gamecenter or whatever has some sort of replay function.

Great game tonight, hats off to both goalies. Loved to see that respect given to each other at benches at end of game too.

Raanta earned himself the next start for Rangers too.

That was just a great hockey game. Always is between these two.

No offense to the Kings but Alec Martinez robbed the hockey world in 2014.

Does anyone think Raanta could be a starter? Before anyone laughs, people made fun of Ranger fans when we suggested Talbot was a starter.

Check out these stats Raanta has when he plays on United Center ice. After tonight's shut out it looks like this:

15-0-3....that is not a missprint. He never has lost at the United Center
.951 save %
1.41 GAA
4 shut outs.

That my friends is officially nuts and off the charts!!....

Dallas could add another Finnish goalie. When it's not working, double and triple down!

Tremendous effort on both sides. It was an incredibly entertaining game regardless of the 1-0 outcome.

It feels like Raanta is one of those potential starters that get overlooked most of the time. Like Greiss for example.

All games that don't have at least 8 goals in them are not entertaining.

Replay the game with Raanta and Darling wearing pajamas, see how well they do then!!

Awesome, I had to look that up.

Good stuff. Very rarely do you this in hockey at end of games if ever. You can tell both Raanta and Darling were good friends while both were with Black Hawks and their duel last night was deserving for acknowledgement by both towards one another. Would love to see more of this kind of sportsmanship.

Unlike the pathetic and odd display of "sportsmanship" Odell Beckham did smiling and cheering on his "friend" Antonio Brown after Brown scored a back breaking TD in the Steelers win a week ago vs Gmen(yeah Odell I'm sure your Gmen teamates who play defensive back were thrilled to see you all happy as they busted their butts to try and cover Brown yet got burnt and your smiling all happy and chit....ugggg), this is the kind of sportsmanship that is appropriate and frankly would love to see more of it in the future. Bravo to Raanta and Darling for doing this and for putting on one heck of a show last night. It was a sight to behold.

Shootout or no, it's still ****** that a goalies incredible performance is blemished because of 3 on 3.
