AA made a bad pass. Then Q and Nyquist couldn't get it sorted.

Q roamed too far away. Nyquist came back to help cover but played net mouth D like most wingers do and looked pretty stupid.

The Avs play very passively. They sit back and protect the middle and wait for a mistake where they crush you in transition. They are certainly no corsi darling. But there play style is exactly what has given them the lead. I am sure it would be frustrating to watch as an Avs fan. But they are Varlamov and their speedy forwards and they play to that identity night in and night out.

I think he's better than his stat line indicates.

That said, his stat line is pretty disappointing. A 20/20 Sheahan would be amazing, and was what I was hoping for also.

I think he would be playing in Russia if anybody but the Caps drafted him. That was the scuttlebutt at the time. Ovie was in his wedding party and recruited him heavily, even with that it took him a while to make the move.
