Imagine playing as bad as Makar has this year and still being a finalist for the Norris. Hughes may scrape by in the vote to a dude having possibly his worst year of his career. Makar is special.

Not sure what to make of this team. First half of the period they looked good, 2nd half looked like ass. Don’t even know which team we’re getting in the playoffs.

Nuke is looking better tonight, just want Mitts to maybe get a couple points for confidence, and Parise scoring one in his final regular season game would be cool.

I suspect they just wanted to grab Mack the record, they slowed way down after that. I'm ok with it, just finish up without any injuries.
Makar and Toews getting caved in by random fourth liners and call-ups is this season in a nutshell.
Toews shouldn't be expected to be an all world player. But Makar needs to be better. And he hasn't been.

Looking at his AE/60 stat, I think I know what it is.
He should make it up to us by winning another Conn Smythe this year.

This is exactly what I’m worried about. They’ll get away with not playing 60 minutes against this half AHL Oilers team today, but they won’t agains the Jets in the playoffs.
Did anyone do a Fourgiev with the 40-min Avalanche yet? (I hope that made sense, have no real motivation to expound further.)
I watched that period and cannot believe we couldn't get MacK at least 3 points. I'm pissed off.
Mikko should have scored in the first 40 seconds. Still stings.
Makar at this point is getting reputation votes. Unless he improves substantially next season he won't get much in the way of votes. He's getting the benefit of the doubt this year.
