Glad to see people liking his game. He's going to be a good player here!
50 year old Stephane Yelle might still be Bednars best faceoff option in the playoffs.Would be nice if we just signed Stephen Yelle. I like this for next season a lot.
that would be something wouldn't it? been begging and pleading for a 3 center and might have jus signed one with no fuss, no assets sacrificed etcSolid debut. Could have something here. Would be huge to have solved the 3C issues on a free asset on a cheap contact to boot.
and by no fuss, you mean 3 months and 3,000 pages of HF Avs bickering, right?that would be something wouldn't it? been begging and pleading for a 3 center and might have jus signed one with no fuss, no assets sacrificed etc

Regarding his post game speech, he's a quiet guy when it comes to media so not surprising he'd feel nervous for that first game puck speech. He is much more comfortable with his skates on and that's where he does his best work.
And 9000 pages. But yes, you’re correct.3 months? More like 3 years
Can already see in game 82 the 1st line of MacDermid-Meyers-Kaut while line 2 is NAK-Compher-Ranta. The forums will be going off on how we'll never win a playoff game with this coach. And 9000 pages. But yes, you’re correct.
I’d like to see more of Meyer before putting a ceiling on him. Besides with JB, Meyer will inevitably be tried out on every line at some point.
yes indeed!!and by no fuss, you mean 3 months and 3,000 pages of HF Avs bickering, right?
He's bigger than Jost, or Jost played like a 160 lb. wet rag.Had a feeling he'd fit in well on this team but that was still impressive to see how he just jumped right in and didn't look out of place at all. Made it look easy and got better as the game went on as well. He'll fit Bednar's system to a tee.
Meyers is basically the Jost replacement. What they hoped Jost would be. Similar size, similar hard working two way style, has some grit to go with some skill in his game, but he's just quicker, so he fits on the Avs better.

Meyers is thick, but he’s not big. More than that though… he’s got great edgesHe's bigger than Jost, or Jost played like a 160 lb. wet rag.
He’s now officially known as Ben “Oscar” Meyers in my book.Meyers is thick, but he’s not big. More than that though… he’s got great edges
Would be nice if Bednar used him in the 3rd instead of basically benching the kid.Second game. Liked him tonight again. Makes smart plays, can skate well and has a motor. Avs got this dude for free. Unreal.
Just think of him getting replaced by Kadri and maybe we'll be alright.I'm already gonna miss having him in the playoffs.
Should we start a "Trade Ben Meyers" thread? He’s not a PPG anymore, bust.
