Cool, that makes sense. I threw my hat in the ring. I make up for not knowing the game by being lazy and sarcastic. I think I've got a good shot, and I'll always remember you guys as I rise to the top.

I got into it with Dario and Meeqs on Twitter—they both insist it was Hepple who pounded the table for Makar, I’m not convinced. And even if that were the case, that doesn’t negate his missteps.

I really didn’t mind the last couple drafts but I just didn’t think he was a huge improvement over his predecessor.

I think Hepple kind of made it known he wanted Makar based on the way he talked about him before the draft, compared to how he talked about Heiskanen and questioned whether he would have high end production in the NHL.
