Just having an early look at him he ranks last on the CBJ defenseman-list in both Fenwick for per 60 and Fenwick against per 60.

Not gonna pretend I know anything about him, but on paper he looks like the worst defenseman on a team that has the worst blueline in the league.

It very well could be as simple as that. I hope management wouldn't do this though when it puts us at the contract limit while already having some deserving guys who are either scratched or in the AHL (Gormley, Siemens, Noreau, Zads/Bigras)

As easy as it would have been to upgrade on our scrubby D, this does nothing to improve it. He's better than Guenin, worse than Gormley and about Redmond level bad. Unless there's something more going on here, like Stuart's season being over, this is a head scratcher.

Good skill, smart decision maker, undersized and overmatched at times in his own end. Better at defending in space than working on the wall.

I think he's a legit 5/6 in the NHL.

They have Gormley as an extra right now + a whole bunch of guys in San Antonio including Siemens which would certainly not be bad to give a shot to...I can't imagine he's much worse than Bodnarchuk.

It can be anytime before noon eastern from what I know.

As a temporary move I could see it, a permanent move would need something else.

It does seem odd, but if they do not want to interrupt the development of the guys in SA, AND think both EJ and Stuart are out then he is the backup for gromley.redman guinin.... the extra d man in case of another injury?
